The banquet table is
ready. Each place setting has
been carefully and lovingly
prepared. Gleaming white napkins
of purity adorn each plate. Wines
await the guests, both red for
the blood of Christ, and white
for His sinless life and perfect
sacrifice... Living water and the
bread of life are generously
within easy reach of all. The
rest of the feast will not be
placed on the table until all the
guests are seated
Yes,
everything is in readiness and
all heaven anxiously awaits the
splendid celebration... the
Wedding Supper of the Lamb! The
time is soon at hand when the
King of the Universe shall
welcome His Bride, the Church, to
His home in glory, to share with
Him for all eternity. It's almost
time... and you're invited! Yes,
YOU!
There
is only one catch... you cannot
attend the feast without special
wedding clothes... robes of
righteousness. Fortunately, this
priceless attire, by God's own
design, is absolutely free! The
Bridegroom has paid the full
price for each shining garment...
all we need do is accept and don
this lovely raiment... that's it!
Oh, you're worried it will become
soiled as you travel the road of
life? Yes, that is true... but
the Savior is ever ready to
cleanse you and your heavenly
clothing the moment you earnestly
turn to Him for forgiveness.
He'll clean you right up!
Amazingly,
some folks prefer the filthy rags
of their own making and will not
partake of the bounty the Lord
has set before them. Perhaps it's
pride that keeps them thus so ill
clad; or maybe an inordinate
fondness for the things of this
world... Oh, if only they could
glimpse what awaits those who
love the Lamb... an eternity of
joy and peace and love...

Are
you dressed for the Wedding
Supper? There's a place already
set for you. All you need do is
accept the gift Jesus so lovingly
and tenderly offers. You are His
beloved and He longs to live in
you and share all He has with
you... It's really so very easy,
but your commitment must
be real.
Just
as you are, Jesus loves you... so
much He'd rather die than live
without you... so much He DID die
for you! You can't make yourself
ready or "good enough"
to dine at that holy table, but
He can! And He will... but only
with your permission, only when
He's invited into your heart and
life.
