Winter
Games
As the world watches,
the Olympic Winter Games play out in
Utah's mountain splendor. Amid the
pageantry and pride in each heart lurks
the threat of a darker spirit, that of
prejudice.
Senseless hatred of
another because of skin color, culture,
religion, gender or age is sin! Oh, not
I, you say, but many believers now speak
maliciously of a whole culture because of
the terrorist act of a few.
Prejudice has been
wrapped in the stars and stripes...
Draped with a flag and touted as
patriotism... candy coated in red, white
and blue to be fed to our children.
Beware! Be ever alert
against the enemy's wily ways of
deceit... Vengeance is His, not yours.
So, enjoy the games, revel in your
patriotic love of America (in all its
diversity) and be ever in prayer for
God's love to permeate the Olympic Games
as well as the world at large.
